Forms a good combination with any of the Zechsal foot spa or body bath products.
When used together, Zechsal bicarbonate and Zechsal magnesium complement each other.
Sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) forms a basic buffer in our blood. It keeps our blood slightly alkaline (pH 7.36) by neutralizing acidic waste.
Various scientific studies have shown that the amount of sodium bicarbonate in our blood decreases as we get older.
Research by Dr Lynda Frassetto has shown a significant decrease in bicarbonate buffers with an average age of 40. This is also the age at which many acidosis problems develop.
Dosage and use
Via the skin through a bath: Add 200g to a bath (approx. 80 - 100 litres of water) and 40g - 50g to a foot spa (approx. 4 litres of water). Spend at least 20 minutes in the bath or foot spa.
Use half of these amounts when used in conjunction with Zechsal Magnesium Crystals, i.e. doses of 100g and 20g respectively.
Tip : First dissolve the magnesium crystals in warm water, then add the bicarbonate. If mixed at the same time, a bubbling reaction occurs, this reaction can affect the pH of the water and potentially reduce the effectiveness of the bicarbonate. By first dissolving the magnesium crystals completely in warm water and then adding the bicarbonate, you ensure that both substances retain their desired properties and function optimally in the bath.
